Investigators of the Criminal Police Department of the Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Criminal Police Department of the Lukavac Police Department are under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Tuzla Canton, working on reports of incidents of planted explosive devices, which were received on February 13 and 24, 2026 via the e-mail address and phone of a Lukavac secondary school, and which disturbed students and teaching staff of primary and secondary schools, as well as the citizens of Lukavac, during the investigation. perpetrators of false reports, shed light on all the circumstances of the committed criminal acts, and collected evidence of the investigation.
During the investigation, a number of investigative actions were carried out, and the KDZ review determined that it was a case of false reports, the goal of which was most likely to stop the teaching process, which, in addition to the agitation of the citizens, also caused the unnecessary engagement of a large number of police officers, as well as other competent services (Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services).
In this regard, it was determined that two sixteen-year-olds from Lukavac, students of a high school from Lukavac, will be brought to the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of Tuzla Canton in connection with the commission of criminal offenses from Article 372, Paragraph 1 of the FBiH Criminal Code – Misuse of the sign for help and danger.
Since in earlier cases of false reports it was determined that the perpetrators were minors, the Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of TK appeals to parents to be actively involved in preventing such occurrences, especially for the reason that it is a criminal offense for which, depending on the case, minors or their parents are criminally responsible.
˝We note that such events require urgent intervention, which entails first the evacuation of students and staff at a certain location, and then the engagement of a large number of personnel and equipment from the Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the TK, as well as the intervention services that are involved in such cases, which causes large costs. In addition to the above, there are also difficulties in the teaching process. That is why it is of crucial importance to discuss the problem of false reports and the responsibility of minors and their parents with both minors and parents in order to prevent these criminal acts, which can have different consequences for minors,” announced the Police Department of the Ministry of Interior, TK.
