Authorized officers of the Indirect Taxation Administration in the operational action codenamed “CEKIN” confiscated a large amount of gold, the market value of which is estimated at 226,710 KM, at the support of the regional center Tuzla.
Based on available information about irregularities in the business of a legal entity from the area covered by the regional center of Tuzla, the authorized officers of the Indirect Taxation Administration checked the turnover and origin of the goods. On that occasion, a large amount of gold jewelry was found for which there was no legally prescribed documentation on the regular import procedure, as well as no proof of origin.
During the performance of operational activities, 906.84 grams of gold (precious metal) were found, which were found in circulation without previously paid import duties. The total value of temporarily seized goods in the mentioned operational activity is KM 226,710.00.
The operational action codenamed “CEKIN” was carried out by authorized officials of the Indirect Taxation Administration, Department for Enforcement of Regulations, Group for Prevention of Smuggling and Misdemeanors, RC Tuzla, in cooperation with officers of the Intelligence Group.
Legally prescribed measures and actions were taken against the perpetrators of illegality.
