Members of the Police Administratione of the MUP of Tuzla Canton arrested one person on suspicion of having participated in two separate violent incidents that took place on January 26, 2026 in the area of Tuzla, it was confirmed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of TK.
The first incident was reported to the Centar Police Station, when MH (2004) from Tuzla reported that he was physically attacked by an unknown person in Muhameda Hevaija Uskufi Street, in the immediate vicinity of the Electrical Engineering School.
According to the report, the attack took place on two occasions, first while the victim was in his vehicle, and then after he drove away and stopped again a few tens of meters away in the same street.
On that occasion, MH suffered physical injuries, which were classified as minor physical injuries at JZU UKC Tuzla, while his vehicle was damaged.
After the attack, the perpetrator drove away from the scene in a vehicle. Police officers from PS Centar went to the field following the report, and the investigation was carried out by investigators from the Criminal Police Department of Tuzla PU.
The on-duty cantonal prosecutor was informed about the incident, who qualified the case as a criminal act of violent behavior, reports Fokus.ba.
Arrested participant in both fights
On the same day, around 4:15 p.m., PS Centar on-call service received several reports from citizens about a fight between two people in the immediate vicinity of the Square and the Music School in Tuzla, during which one person received injuries in the head area. Police officers and the team of the Emergency Medical Service of Tuzla Health Center were immediately dispatched to the scene.
AI (1972) from Tuzla was found injured on the spot, who was transported to JZU UKC Tuzla for medical assistance, as well as another person participating in the fight, identified as SZ (1992) from Tuzla.
After conducting investigations, the police established that the same person most likely participated in both violent events, a man who fought twice in the same day. The cantonal prosecutor on duty was informed about everything, who qualified the second incident as a criminal offense of grievous bodily harm in an attempt, after which SZ was deprived of his liberty.
The suspect was taken to the official premises of the MUP of TK, and after the criminal processing, he will, along with the report with the collected evidence, be handed over to the jurisdiction of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Tuzla Canton for further action.
