More than 100,000 tourists visit Sarajevo City Hall since its reopening

Sarajevo City Hall has been visited by more than 100,000 tourists since its reopening, mostly from Turkey and neighboring countries, confirmed the coordinator of activities in the building of City Hall, Admir Dedovic.

He points out that there are always some events in there. He says that, in addition to permanent exhibitions and settings, the City Hall hosts temporary exhibitions.

– We are satisfied with the work of the City Hall. I am referring to the visit of tourists, especially during the season, then organized visits of primary and secondary school students from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and of course, the successful organization of various events – said Dedovic.

According to him, all this contributed to the successful operations of the City Hall and the achievement of goals set in 2015.

– City Hall has become a must-see destination of all tourists who visit Sarajevo, from all around the world – said Dedovic, adding that the City Hall employees strive to continue positive operations.

City Hall, which is a symbol of Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina, was reopened in May last year, 22 years after it was set on fire. The opening ceremony of reconstructed City Hall was attended by hundreds of senior officials, representatives of political, religious, public, cultural and artistic life in BiH, as well as numerous representatives and members of the diplomatic corps.

It was set on fire in August 1992, when about two million books were destroyed, and its reconstruction has cost 16 million Euros.
