Member of BiH Presidency Bakir Izetbegovic, and founder of Gulf Real Estate company Jasem Ahmed Al-Kanderi, have opened a new tourist residential complex “Sarajevo Resort” in Osenik, in Hadzici municipality near Sarajevo.
The complex includes two indoor swimming pools, a hotel, restaurants, sports courts, supermarket and many other facilities. Resort is a specially designed complex able to offer accommodation for 1,125 tourists.
This is one of the biggest residential tourist settlements of the kind, and will contribute to the overall tourist offer of the Sarajevo area. The complex consists of more than 400 buildings.
The complex stretches over an area of 160,000 square meters, with the artificial lake of 12,000 square meters. More that 50 million KM has been invested.
Reminding that Kuwait has been offering a huge support to BiH since war in early 90’s, Izetbegovic said that good relations between BiH and Arab countries will help our country to activate its resources.
“BiH is European country connected to the market of 600 million rich people. It is a country of peace and it is getting organized better. BiH has forests, ore, energy and tourist potential, and that has been recognized as a possibility for investment,” Izetbegovic said.
He added that this resort is near Sarajevo and Olympic mountains, and that it will be even closer to the Adriatic Sea when corridor 5C gets done.
He said authorities will continue to work on stabilization of situation and adoption of the laws which will accelerate investments and make them safer. According to him, this is the best moment to invest in BiH.
Al-Kanderi said that this complex is “a tourist village and investment opportunity.”
“We have managed to promote BiH in Gulf countries, and an idea of tourist complex in general. We are proud that investors from the Gulf are coming to BiH, because there are a lot of indicators that tourism in BiH is developing. The economic growth in the country is also expected,” Al-Kanderi said.
