By reading the indictment and the introductory, the trial of the former director of the Intelligence and Security Agency (Osman), which was accused of abusing the position in order to remain in a function for which he did not meet the requirements.
Mehmedagića is charged with performing the duty of the OSA directors from 2019 without the prescribed high expertise, when his Faculty’s Diploma for Business Studies in Banja Luka was annulled, when he was resolved by duties.
– He silves the fact that he no longer has a degree, however, what he does is to use the function to hide this fact – she said in the introductory word prosecutor Sanja Ljuboje Romić.
However, Mehmedagić, as he was in the indictment, brought instructions on all the personnel files of employees in the ICA, and thus put his “confidential”. The prosecutor noted that the degrees of public documents that cannot have a secrecy mark.
The indictment states that, when the Parliamentary Commission called on Mehmedagić to state that he did not meet the legally prescribed conditions for the performance of the ICA Director, which he had misleaded members of the Commission.
– One on the degree from the Faculty of Law in Sarajevo and the other in the U.S. University of Tuzla, even though he knew that he had never studied at the American University, and to which the degree came in an unknown manner – the indictment.
It is added that the accused also marked the letter to the parliamentary commission “confidential”, and all in the intention to restrict insight into documents and prevent their forwarding to other bodies.
According to the indictment, Mehmedagić generated personal income in the total amount of 293,000 KM.
Ljuboje Romić emphasized that, not counting this amount for which the budget was damaged, I would harm the reputation of BiH by performing a function that does not meet the requirements in the agency that worked very serious business.
The prosecutor stated that this work was marked as a deed of high corruption.
The defense stated that he would not be an introductory word until the prosecution carries out his evidence.
– I can only say that we will prove that our clan did not commit the criminal offense that is charged – said the defender of the shadow of the leg.
