Leđiba Ravlić, who was sentenced to 45 years in prison for the aggravated murder of her daughter-in-law Nermina Krajina on June 28, 2024 in the Pofalići neighborhood of Sarajevo, died in the Penitentiary (KPZ) on Igman.
“On Friday, June 12, 2026, in the morning hours in the detention cell of the Sarajevo Penitentiary on Igman, the detainee Leđiba Ravlić, born in 1948, died. On June 8, she was transferred from the Zenica Penitentiary to the Sarajevo Penitentiary by ambulance because she was in a serious state of health and immobile,” said the director of the Penitentiary Munib Isaković for Klix.ba.
He added that Ravlić was placed in a cell with two other people and that her death was confirmed by the emergency medical service.
The Police Department of Ilidža was informed about the incident, which informed the duty prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office in Sarajevo in order to conduct an investigation. An autopsy was performed on the day of death, and the official cause of death was natural death.

The indictment charged Goran and Leđiba with mentally and physically abusing Goran’s wife from mid-May to June 28, 2024, in an apartment in Sarajevo’s Pofalići neighborhood, and eventually killed her. They denied her any communication with the outside world. They destroyed her mobile phone and forbade her to leave the apartment.
“They starved her, cut her hair, pulled out her hair, tied her hands so she could not resist. They sexually abused her and inflicted more than 100 injuries, including bites, burns, fractures and injuries in the genital area. She died from the injuries,” the indictment stated.
The victim’s body was in the apartment for days. In order to cover up the stench, Goran and Leđiba used various types of air fresheners and scented candles. They contacted Latif Jašarević, who agreed to help them cover their tracks.
The plan was to dismember the body
On Leđiba’s order, Goran and Latif repeatedly bought an ax, a saw, a set of knives, several plastic boxes that keep the appropriate temperature, ammonia cartridges for portable coolers, a meat grinder, several adhesive tapes, garbage bags, plastic gloves, plastic suits, protective masks, and disinfectants and cleaning agents in shopping centers.
The plan was to dismember the body. “Goran himself admitted that he did not use the meat grinder because he did not know how to use it,” said Melika Murtezić, judge of the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo.
Latif Jašarević pleaded guilty and settled for a prison sentence of one year and 10 months, writes Index.hr.
