On the occasion of media announcements from 30.12.2025. year, in which the public was informed that it was against Dejan Milkunić, the former director of the Secondary Music School “Čestmir Mirko Dušek” in Tuzla, was indicted by the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina for inappropriate behavior towards students and teachers of the school, lawyer Dr.Sc. Mirna Alibegović considers it necessary to present information about the outcome of that procedure to the public.

˝After the indictment was submitted to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation, the Court returned it to the Prosecutor’s Office due to formal and legal deficiencies, since the description of the actions did not contain the legal features of the criminal offense that the suspect was charged with. After returning the indictment for processing, the acting prosecutor made a decision to withdraw the indictment, and in this particular case, the criminal proceedings were suspended”, said lawyer Alibegović.
According to her, as a result, she wants to point out to the public that the criminal proceedings were suspended even before the confirmation of the indictment, by withdrawing it from the competent prosecutor’s office, however, despite that, information about its filing was published in the public, which is a long-standing practice of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office before the end of the calendar year, before any decision by the Court on the fate of such an indictment.
˝All of the above resulted in intense and sensationalist media coverage with the publication of his full identity and photos, which produced serious consequences for the reputation, professional integrity and private life of Dejan Milkunić. Bearing in mind the seriousness of the consequences that such announcements can have, it would be professional and responsible to inform the public and the media after the Court takes a position on the indictmentand not in the phase when its outcome is unknown. We also point out that disciplinary proceedings were conducted against the appointee, which are terminated without establishing any liabilitythat is, without advertising, I am guilty of any actions contrary to the law or applicable regulations,” says Alibegović.
