On that occasion, Konaković pointed out that relations with the United States have a strategic importance for BiH.
He expressed his gratitude to the US on the continued support of BiH institutions in the implementation of reforms in the process of European and Euro-Atlantic integration as well as expectations to continue the proactive role of the United States in processes that are key to BiH functionality and stability.
He met the interlocutor with the political situation in our country and challenges and destructive forces, who threaten peace and stability as well as the progress of BiH on the road to the EU and NATO.
Congressman Turner, a very good connoisseur of opportunities in BiH and the region, expressed interest and concerns about the last events in our country. He emphasized that the United States will continue to provide full support to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of BiH, and the strong commitment to preserve peace, security and stability both in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Western Balkans.
Congressman introduced Konaković with his initiative for the Spring Session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in May this year in Dayton on the occasion of the marking of the 30th anniversary of the Dayton Peace Agreement. At the same time, he presented an invitation to participate in the event, which will be held on the margins of the Session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, contributed to the encouragement of transatlantic dialogue and cooperation on key issues with which the Western Balkans are facing.
Turner is the former Mayor of Dayton and the head of the U.S. Delegation in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, the Office of the BiH MVP Public Relations Office.
