Revisions released by Tokyo on Monday show that Japan’s economy shrank more sharply between July and September than originally estimated. Official data showed GDP fell at an annual rate of 2.3% in the third quarter, worse than the median of economists who had expected a 2.0% decline and the preliminary forecast of a 1.8% decline.
Australia’s ASX/S&P 200 fell 0.17%. Investors will be watching the Reserve Bank of Australia’s upcoming decision as it kicks off its two-day meeting.
