Today, they should have been heard in the Prosecutor’s Office of Tuzla Canton as a suspect in the process of procuring the linear accelerator and adjusting the tender for the procurement of this apparatus, but requested additional time for the preparation of the defense. Also, Tulumović is suspected for illegal coverage of the financial costs of a private health institution in Tuzla, who were paid by the money of the Health Insurance Institute.
Tulumović and Husić were to be heard on the circumstances of procurement of linear accelerator, CT simulators and other supporting equipment for the treatment of oncological patients. We remind you, the investigation against Tulumovic and Husic was opened in May last year for suspicion of abuse of position and the facilitation of one of the two bidders in announcing the tender for the procurement of radiation apparatus. But the hearing was postponed due to the preparation of the defense, and Tulumović refused to comment on the Federal Television.
In May last year, at the orders of the Cantonal Court in Tuzla, Tuzla, when he was exempted by the procurement of the linear accelerator, as well as the Mobile Phones of Denijal Tulumović, the then director, and the Head of Husić, the Assistant Director of the UKC for Nursing. The investigation is open due to the suspicion of the abuse of position, ie the adjustment of the tender for the procurement of a linear accelerator, as well as suspicion of illegal financial costs of one private health institution in Tuzla, who were paid by the Health Insurance Institute, in the Tulumović Institute.
“The investigation was underway, the prosecutorial decision was not adopted, the examination was postponed, so that all the information you are interested in subsequently can be obtained,” said Mirna Alibegović, Tulumović’s lawyer.
Husic’s lawyer Damir Alić told us that before the Client’s hearing at the TC prosecution, which was also delayed, he cannot manifest. The TC Prosecutor’s Office said for the Federal Television that the investigation was in the final stage and that before making the final prosecutorial decision, they were unable to provide more information on this case. The Federal Television was reporting on the continuity for the past two years. In this regard, certain investigative actions were initiated in March 2024.
“The Appeals Office has accepted the appeal of certain suppliers to the tender specification for devices, as they are set up, which are set up for the CT simulator and the Linear Accelerator such that the offer is only a bidder,” the TC prosecution.
The tender for the procurement of a linear accelerator for the UKC Tuzla in the past two years has been annulled due to the appeal of the bidders three times. Only after the fourth time, the appliance was finally procured in January this year, when the tender procedure was completed. The final commissioning of the new apparatus is scheduled for Monday, which will be a significant step in the treatment of oncological patients in Tuzla, which have so far ongoing the need traveled in hundreds of miles away clinical centers, which despite their disease, was an aggravating circumstance in their treatment. The value of the camera is about nine million marks.
