The Service for Affairs with Foreigners informs the public that during the month of February 2026, acting on the basis of previously collected operational knowledge, it implemented several intensified inspection controls in the area under the jurisdiction of the Field Center Tuzla, with the aim of determining the legality of the residence and work of foreign citizens.
During the mentioned activities, 41 foreign citizens were recorded and controlled, namely 38 citizens of the Republic of Turkey and 3 citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Controls revealed that the mentioned persons were staying and working without a work permit, without a duly registered residence address, and without an approved temporary residence.
Irregularities were found at several facilities in the area of Tuzla and Živinice, where 27 persons were employed at facilities in Tuzla, while 14 persons were employed at facilities in Živinice.
According to the information collected so far, all persons found, except for two persons employed by a legal entity in Živinice, were employed through a legal entity registered in the territory of Brčko District, which had concluded subcontracts with other legal entities on the mentioned facilities.
In accordance with the provisions of the Law on Foreigners of Bosnia and Herzegovina, measures prescribed by law were imposed on the mentioned persons, including cancellation of stay, cancellation of stay with the measure of expulsion, the imposition of the measure of expulsion, as well as the issuing of misdemeanor orders.
The Service for Affairs with Foreigners will continue with continuous and enhanced controls in the coming period, with the aim of ensuring the legality of residence and work of foreign citizens.
