He was found guilty that as a member of the “White Eagles” unit was raped by three women in Liplje, where from 25. May until 2. June, about 400 Bosniak civilians were closed. He was convicted of a crime against humanity.
– He was aware that a broad and systematic attack was in the course – said the chairman of the Council of Davorin Jukić.
Using a situation in which 400 civilians were closed and abused, as the Trial Chamber found, the accused raped the witness A-5 three times during one night. According to the verdict, the injured party A-2 took another soldier to one house and raped, and Gligorevic waited him by asking him if he was done, he was raped.
– The witness described the act of rape exhaustively, stating that she was exhausted and she begged her to return her to the child, “Jukic said.
The Council concluded that the accused was one of the soldiers who raped A-1.
– She stated that he was a small, very young, she recognized the accused in the investigation and in the courtroom, “chairman of the Council said.
He stated that the testimonies of the damaged were convincing and clear. He added that of the relief circumstances, the Council appreciated that Gligorevic acted at a younger age of 21 and had not previously been convicted, while making no recklessness and number of damaged.
The Council has partially adopted the request of the injured party and ordered the accused to pay 10,000 marks in each of the three damaged ones in the name of the fee for mental pain. Jukic explained that the request was not fully adopted because the traumas that survivors did not cause the accused only.
Gligorevic has been extended custody, in which it is from 26. May 2023. years and which will be included in serving a penalty.
The verdict was allowed to appeal to the Court of BiH’s Court of Council, BIRN BiH reported.
