Police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) of the Republika Srpska (RS) in the continuation of the operational action “SYSTEM 2026” arrested persons with the initials SS, SJDŠ., and VK from Banja Luka and a person with the initials BT from Mrkonjić Grad, for whom there is a basis for suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of “Exploiting children for pornography” under Article 175 of the Criminal Code of the RS.
The action was carried out by police officers of the Criminal Police Directorate in cooperation with the police authorities of Banja Luka and Mrkonjić Grad, who, according to the orders of the competent courts, conducted searches at six locations used by persons connected to the execution of the aforementioned crimes. During the search, the means of committing the crime were found and confiscated, including computers, mobile phones, memory cards and other devices for storing digital data.
Also, a certain amount of green plant material was found and confiscated, which in appearance is associated with the narcotic drug “marijuana”, as well as other items that can be linked to the commission of a criminal act. People are suspected of using social networks and communication applications to access groups where child pornography content was shared, while some people are also suspected of forming a storage space for storing downloaded material.
After the completion of the criminal investigation against the mentioned persons, a report on the committed criminal acts will be submitted to the competent prosecutor’s office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RS announced.
