Investigators of the Criminal Police Sector of the Police Department of the MUP TK, as part of the investigation led by the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Tuzla Canton, in the case of Besim Kopić and others, on Monday, on the order of the cantonal prosecutor, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of Human Trafficking, arrested four persons, three of whom were police officers of the Police Department of the MUP TK, namely: EK (2003) and IH (2002), both from Kalesija (police officers of PS Kalesija), AH (1990) from Živinica (police officer of PS Živinica) and person MJ (1962) from Banović.
˝Persons who have been deprived of their freedom will be handed over to the jurisdiction of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of Tuzla Canton after criminal processing. In this regard, the Director of the Police Administration of the MUP of TK issued a Decision on the temporary suspension of the above-mentioned police officers until the end of the criminal or disciplinary proceedings, announced the Police Administration of the MUP of TK.
Tuzla Cantonal Court: Eight accused of exploiting two minor girls for the purpose of prostitution pleaded not guilty
Last week, a plea hearing was held before the pretrial judge of the Cantonal Court in Tuzla in the case which, according to the confirmed indictment of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of Tuzla Canton, is being held against Besim Kopić, Miralem Halilović, Jasmin Modrić, Dževad Požegić, Šemsudin Kadrić, Zijad Jagodić, Sulejman Šehić and Nedim Avdić, for the extended criminal offense of Human Trafficking, related to the exploitation of two minors. girls for the purpose of prostitution in the period from April 2024 to the end of July 2025.
All the accused have pleaded not guilty to the criminal acts charged in the indictment. The judge for the preliminary hearing will, in accordance with the FBiH Criminal Procedure Law, forward the criminal case against the accused to the Council of the Cantonal Court in Tuzla in order to schedule the main trial.
