Split police prevented last night mass brawl of minors on the playground near Trstenik Elementary Schooland as many as 29 people were detained for their participation and organization. The conflict was arranged for days through a popular social network, the police reported in their press release.
Conflict arranged via Snapchat
According to the results of the criminal investigation, the physical conflict between students of two elementary schools in Split was arranged through the Snapchat social network in the period from November 10 to 16. A “5 on 5” fight was planned.

The agreed conflict took place last night, and eight minors took part in it, while as many as 50 of their peers observed everything. The fight, fortunately, lasted only a short time because the police officers arrived and broke it up. When the crowd noticed the police, they ran away, but the police managed to stop the escape attempt and detained a total of 29 minors.
Reports to minors, investigation against parents
Last night, the police already established the identity of all those who participated in the organization and the fight itself, and we are talking about minors born in 2011 and 2012. All 29 detainees were questioned in the presence of their parents or an on-duty employee of the Croatian Institute for Social Work.
All those who took part in the fight will be charged to the misdemeanor court for disturbing public order and peace, if the legal requirements are met for that, considering their age.
The competent Croatian Institute for Social Work will also be informed about the behavior of all involved minors. The police also announced that a further criminal investigation will be conducted in relation to the parents in order to determine whether there are elements of the criminal offense of Violation of the child’s rights due to neglect of parental responsibilities, it says Index.hr.
