The Tuzla Municipal Court accepted the proposal of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Tuzla Canton and ordered a one-month detention for Selver Smajić (39), resident in the area of Živinice, due to the existence of a well-founded suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of preventing an official from performing an official act in connection with the unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs.
˝Smajić is suspected of having on December 19, 2025, in the Miladije neighborhood of Tuzla, after spotting police officers in marked MUP TK vehicles with rotating lights on, who were about to perform the official action of controlling his vehicle and depriving him of his liberty due to previously announced searches, tried to prevent the police officers from carrying out the official act of depriving him of his liberty by using force and driving dangerously. In doing so, two police officers were slightly injured, and material damage was caused to two officers and one parked vehicle. After that, the suspect was deprived of his liberty, said the spokesman of the TK Prosecutor’s Office, Admir Arnautović.
During the search of the vehicle used by the suspect, police officers found several packages with about 560 grams of the narcotic drug amphetamine, about 150 grams of marijuana, one digital scale, a gun, a large amount of money, as well as other items that are linked to the commission of criminal acts.
After the criminal investigation carried out by members of the Criminal Police Department of the Tuzla Police Department, the suspect was handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office along with a report on the crime committed.
The acting prosecutor ordered the investigation and interrogated the suspect.
