The well-known Croatian investigative journalist Domagoj Margetić claims to have documents that reveal the role of Aleksandar Vučić in wartime Sarajevo during the 1990s.
“The information written and signed by Slavko Aleksić in November 1993 as the commander of the Novosarajevo Chetnik Detachment further reveals Aleksandar Vučić’s participation in human safaris in wartime Sarajevo. Namely, in the document, Aleksić states to the Detachment Command that a certain Italian guest of the RR donated twenty thousand German marks to the Detachment, and the donation was handed to Aleksić by Detachment volunteer Aleksandar Vučić. What do you think an Italian would come to fight against the Jews for? cemetery in Sarajevo and ‘donated’ such a sum of money for the volunteers of the Detachment? It is more than clear that it was a matter of payment for services, which Aleksić himself confirms in the document, in the part in which he states that the volunteers of the Detachment who provided logistics to foreign guests will receive a salary supplement of fifty German marks from this amount,” said Margetić.

Let us remind you that an investigation was launched in Italy due to accusations of the so-called “human safari” – sniper excursions during the wars in the Balkans, primarily during the aggression against RBiH.
Prosecutors reacted after Italian journalist and author Ezio Gavazzeni filed a criminal complaint, claiming visitors paid Bosnian Serbs between £70,000 and £88,000 to go to sniper positions.
Not long after it was announced to the public that the investigation had been launched, Slavko Aleksić, identified as a key witness at the center of the investigation into whether rich tourists during the siege of Sarajevo in the 1990s paid thousands of euros to kill unarmed civilians, died suddenly.
The investigation into the mass murders in Sarajevo followed the documentary film “Sarajevo Safari” from 2022, directed by Miran Zupanič. The film makes claims that elite gun enthusiasts from Russia, Canada and the USA used to come to the hills of Sarajevo on weekends to shoot civilians for fun, with a higher price for shooting children.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić denied any connection with the alleged sniper trips during the wars of the 1990s.
