Presenting as a high-sided employee of the Bank, a 51-year-old woman in contracting false favorable savings damaged more persons by more than 1.5 million euros, the Međimurje police in Croatia announced.
Criminal research over the 51-year-old, police conducted the requirements of the competent state prosecutor’s office due to the doubt in the commission of the fraud and counterfeiting the documents.
It is charged from January 2013. By April 2024, in the capacity of the bank, ie the Bank, the injured party, falsely represented as a high-sided employee, and all with the aim of obtaining considerable material benefit.
The suspect offered the injured party the possibility of contracting preferential term savings of funds, with high interest rates. Some of the injured men handed over her cash, while others, according to the recommendation of the suspect, raised unintended loans in the bank. Deferred money The 51-year-old did not pass the bank, but kept him for himself and then repaid the previously taken commitments to other persons, the police were determined.
To convince damaged in the legality of the offer, that is, they have taught them money in the bank, they have taught false contracts on time savings and partially repaid the monthly installments of loans and paid interest.
In this way, they damaged several dozens of people from Varaždin, Lika-Senj, Dubrovnik-Neretva and Zagreb County and the city of Zagreb for the total amount of slightly greater than 1.5m euros.
