Asian-Pacific markets traded on Friday, while investors await the president of the US Federal Reserve Jerome Powell at the Annual Economic Symposium of the Central Bank, which could offer indications of interest rate movement.
The South Korean Kospi jumped by 0.66%, and the shares of small companies Kosdaq were larger by 0.41%.
The Japanese Reference Index of Nikkei 225 fell by 0.18%, while Topix rose by 0.37%.
The rate of basic inflation in the country decreased to 3.1% in July, with 3.3% month earlier.
