The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton (MUP TK) announced details regarding the mass fight between fans near the Tuzla International Airport. On Saturday, around 9:55 p.m., PS Živinica reported that several people were fighting in front of the entrance to Tuzla International Airport.
“Several police patrols were sent to the scene, as well as teams for rapid intervention of the Special Support Unit of the Police Department of the MUP TK, as well as the SHMP DZ Živinice and Tuzla teams. The allegations of the report were confirmed, and a large number of people were found in the fight, who were found to be fans of Crvena Zvezda (Delija) from Serbia and fans of the fan group Torcida (Hajduk) from Croatia,” said the MUP TK.
Due to the mentioned event, 93 people – fans of the mentioned groups – were detained in the official premises of the Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, and on that occasion it was determined that none of them were from the area of Tuzla Canton.
“According to initial information, one police officer was also injured. The Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Tuzla Canton has been informed about the incident, and an investigation is underway, and all further measures and actions will be taken according to the instructions of the prosecutor on duty,” said the MUP TK.
One person hospitalized in UKC Tuzla
“18 people came to the Tuzla University Clinical Center due to injuries, one of whom was kept at the Anesthesiology and Reanimation Clinic. The patient was hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit due to head, spine, chest, arm and body contusions. Other patients were diagnosed and cared for at the Clinic for Ear, Throat and Nose Diseases and Head and Neck Surgery, the Clinic for Orthopedics and Traumatology and the Clinic for Neurosurgery. Namely, as it was originally announced, Red Star fans were attacked by a group that made them wait near the airport during their return from the game in Sweden.
