After being suspected the woman fired multiple shots at Rihanna’s mansion in Beverly Hills, the singer’s neighbors announced.
“It was terrifying”
Residents of nearby houses said the sound of gunfire echoed through the neighborhood.
“It was scary. I can’t even imagine being in a house and hearing bullets going off and things like that,” Keith England, who lives nearby, told Fox 11 LA. He said the shots were fired in rapid succession: “Bam, bam, bam, bam, bam – probably a dozen shots.”
Another neighbor, Isabel Thorne, said the sound spread throughout the area. “It was very loud, and in this valley everything echoes. You can hear everything,” said Thorne. “A gunshot is not something you expect.”
England added that the incident was surprising given the neighborhood. “My first thought was, is it possible? Given the neighborhood, you don’t usually expect drive-by shootings in a place like this. But now they’re everywhere,” he said.
This isn’t the first time Rihanna’s estate has been targeted. In 2018, surveillance cameras captured burglars breaking into the nine-time Grammy Award winner’s home.
Suspect arrested
The female suspect was later arrested in nearby Sherman Oaks, police said. Investigators believe she fired about a dozen rounds from the car toward the property, with at least one bullet piercing the walls of the home. Rihanna lives in that residence with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, and their three children.
Authorities are now working to determine the motive behind the attack. The police have not announced the identity of the suspect, and there are no reports of injuries, writes Index.hr.
