A man from Banja Luka whose initials are MS, suspected of sexually exploiting a child, was handed over to the District Public Prosecutor’s Office in Bijeljina.
The MS from Banja Luka was arrested on Wednesday in the area of Bijeljina in the continuation of the operational action “Karika” with the aim of suppressing sexual abuse or child exploitation.
The arrest was made by officers of the High-tech Crime Unit of the Criminal Police Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Srpska.
He was arrested on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of exploiting a computer network or communication by other technical means to commit criminal offenses of sexual abuse or exploitation of a child, the criminal offense of exploiting children for pornography and the criminal offense of introducing children to pornography from the Criminal Code of the Republic of Srpska.
The arrested person is suspected of using social networks and communication applications to get in contact with children in the previous period, after which he communicated in a sexually explicit manner, sending photos and videos with sexually explicit content.
He asked the child to take photos of himself in a sexually explicit manner and make videos with such content, and to send them to him.
Then, through the mentioned communication, he persistently arranged a meeting for the purpose of sexual intercourse or a sexual act equated with it, and he was arrested when he came to the arranged meeting yesterday.
