Favorable meteorological conditions have cleared the air in Bosnia and Herzegovina. However, high concentrations of floating particles were still present in Maglaj yesterday, while exceeding the daily limit value of that pollutant was recorded in Ilijaš, and parts of Zenica and Tuzla.
In Živinice and Tešnje, exceedances of the average daily concentration of sulfur dioxide were recorded, and as a result of high concentrations of SO2 in the evening and night hours, it is stated in the report of the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute of BiH.
This morning, the air is good to moderately polluted, with pollutant concentration values similar to yesterday’s.
The exception is the presence of elevated concentrations of floating PM10 particles in Maglaj and sulfur dioxide in Živinice.
Today and in the coming days, the general meteorological conditions will have a favorable effect on air pollution. Air quality will vary from good to moderately polluted, with occasional disturbances and oscillations possible in the most polluted environments.
