Wizz Air has three routes, two to Germany and one to Switzerland, the weekly number of flights varies according to demand.
“We have flights to Memmingen, Dortmund and Basel, some lines we have five, some six, some four times a week, depending on demand. We have three flights a week to Istanbul, two Pegasus and one A-Jet,” said Dževad Halilčević, director of Tuzla International Airport.
This year, significantly fewer passengers were transported from Tuzla compared to previous years. However, the airport is recovering significantly and the number of passengers is increasing, Halilčević points out.
“This year ended with 210 thousand passengers. Considering what was going on, this is an acceptable number of passengers. In the year ahead, I expect a larger number of passengers and a larger number of flights, because we are working on it,” adds Halilčević.
In mid-December, the Government of Tuzla Canton approved additional financial resources in the amount of one million marks for Tuzla International Airport for the Project of installing central line lights on the runway.
“I expect that, as soon as the weather permits, the poles and lighting fixtures on the runway will be installed so that we will then have a complete lighting solution for the runway. This is a long-standing problem at our airport,” Halilčević told Vijesti.ba.
