Due to large amounts of snow, traffic has been suspended for all categories of vehicles on the roads:
– Glamoč-Mlinište,
– Bosansko Grahovo-Drvar-Bosanski Petrovac,
– Drvar-Glamoch,
– Sanski Most-Ključ,
– Kupres-Novo Selo,
– Kotor Varoš-Teslić (Borja),
– Banja Luka-Kneževo i
– Bihać-Bosanski Petrovac-Ključ.
Traffic over the Karaula pass on the Olovo-Kladanj road has been suspended for vehicles over 10 tons, as well as for trucks with trailers and tow trucks. Trucks and buses cannot travel on the Srebrenik-Previla road, and on the Gradačac-Pelagićevo road, vehicles over 7 tons are prohibited.
On the 9 January highway, as well as on main and regional roads in the RS, the traffic ban for goods vehicles has been extended.
Snow continues to hamper traffic in most of Bosnia, while in Herzegovina the road is wet in places. We especially warn about the sections over mountain passes, where there is trampled snow on the road, and on these sections it is mandatory for trucks to use chains.
Additional difficulties for drivers are caused by strong wind, which creates drifts of snow.
Due to the weight of the snow on numerous sections, trees are often knocked down on the road.
We advise drivers not to go on the road without a major need, and if they do travel, not to go on the road without appropriate winter equipment.
Due to difficult winter conditions, traffic for goods vehicles at the Izačić border crossing was suspended. There are no longer delays for passenger vehicles at other border crossings.
On the occasion of the religious holiday of Catholic Christmas, the transport of explosive materials is prohibited in the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina until midnight tonight.
Over the mountain pass Borova glava (Šuica-Livno), we warn of the frequent exits of wild horses onto the road.
Traffic is still suspended on the Jablanica-Blidinje main road due to damage to the pavement.
Works are underway on the M-17 highway in Donja Jablanica, in the Komadinovo vrelo locality, which is why traffic is occasionally slower, with possible shorter suspensions.
On the section of the A1 highway, Podlugovi-Visoko, due to works on the installation of fenders at the site of the works, the overtaking lane is in operation.
The works are also current on the main roads: Pelagićevo-Srebrenik, Turbe-Travnik (Kalibunar), Husino-Ljubače, Buna-Masline, Klašnice-Šargovac, Lepenica-Han Ploča and Čitluk-Ljubuški.
On the main road Rogatica-Ustiprača, due to damage to the bridge, vehicles up to 30 tons travel in one lane, while traffic for vehicles over 30 tons is suspended.
Traffic for vehicles over 5 tons of the maximum permissible weight is prohibited at the Karakaj border crossing (near Zvornik). Freight vehicles over 5 t are diverted to the Bratunac or Rača border crossings, while buses can use GP Šepak. Freight vehicles can drive on GP Šepak from 09:00 to 13:00 and from 22:00 to 06:00.
