The session will be held at 10 a.m. in the building of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The ESV states that the session will, among other things, consider the Proposal for a Decree on the Minimum Income of Employees in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the Proposal for the Adoption of a Decree on the Maximum Increase of Electricity in 2025.
In the same building, two hours later, starting at 12:00, the 45th session of the Government of the Federation of BiH will be held.
Given that the FBiH Government announced that the Regulation on minimum incomes will enter into force on January 1, it is expected that the decision will be made and announced to the public on Monday.
FBiH Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić previously clarified that the Regulation will be mandatory.
“It will be applied from January 1, in February salaries will be paid according to it. There will be a minimum wage, there will be mandatory assistance in the name of the increase in the cost of living, a hot meal and transportation. Employers will pay taxes on it only on the minimum wage, and nothing else. This will last up to a year, that is, until the adoption of fiscal laws that will reduce contributions,” said Nikšić.
He also explained that those who have a higher salary can be given that help.
“But it is not mandatory, because incomes are above 1,200 KM. We want to protect 270 thousand FBiH workers who receive a lower salary of 1000 KM”, says Nikšić.
If someone were to try to reduce wages before the adoption of the Regulation, they would not be able to do so.
“The last salary paid in November cannot be reduced. We have predicted some things, and everything will be checked by the Tax Administration. We have also predicted that those who give their workers a 15 percent salary increase in January can pay 400 KM tax-free,” Nikšić said.
