The verdict revealed the details: How children in TK were forced to beg!

The organizer of the group, Šaban Salčinović, was sentenced to 16 years in prison, Ibra Džinić and Halil Salihović were sentenced to 13 years each, and two other members of the group, Almir Muharemović and Jasmin Mujakić, were sentenced to five (5) years in prison each. .

In relation to the accused Berisa Džinić Kamarić (45), the first-instance verdict of the Tuzla Cantonal Court was annulled, and the hearing will be held before the Supreme Court of FBiH.

The indictment of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of Tuzla Canton charges Šaban Salčinović (52), Halil Salihović (46), Ibro Džinić (47), Almir Muharemović (52) and Jasmin Mujakić (48) and Berisa Džinić Kamarić (45) with being in a group that led by Salčinović committed the criminal offense of organized human trafficking related to the exploitation of children and their labor exploitation for the purpose of forced begging.

The indictment stated that in the period from 2017 to February 2021, members of the group forced several children between the ages of 4 and 14 to beg, using their insufficient mental development, the position of helplessness and the children’s inability to resist.

The children would be woken up in the early hours of the morning, regardless of the weather, transported to different locations in more than 20 places in the Tuzla Canton or other parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, supervised during the begging, and the children had to hand over amounts of money to the members or the organizer of the group. ranged from 40 KM to 150 KM per day. In doing so, the children were exposed to all weather conditions, inadequately dressed and dressed, hungry, constantly under the threat of using physical force against them, or they were even beaten and constantly insulted.
