The total number of payment transactions performed through real-time gross settlement (BPRV) and giro clearing system of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina during the last year amounted to about 55.76 million, while the total value was 197.28 billion KM.
According to data from the Central Bank, the total number of transactions increased by 4.4 percent compared to the previous year, while the total value of transactions increased by 7.8 percent.
Of the total number of transactions, about 1.8 million refer to those executed through BPRV, and their value is about 169.25 billion KM, while the value of giro clearing transactions was about 28.03 billion KM, and there were 53.9 million transactions.
The number of transactions in the BPRV system in 2025 increased by 9.5 percent compared to the previous year, while the value of transactions increased by 7.7 percent.
Last year, the number of transactions in the giro clearing system increased by 4.3 percent compared to 2024, while the value of transactions increased by 8.2 percent, reports Srna.
The Central Bank of BiH states that the five banks with the largest participation in the number of transactions in the BPRV and giro clearing system participate with 55.95 percent in the total number of BPRV and giro clearing transactions.
