During the lecture organized by the agricultural pharmacy “Basho” with the support of the municipality of Velika Kladuša, farmers had the opportunity to get detailed information on the organization and terms of the Kornišon production in 2025. Years.

Agriculture engineer and a long-term kornišon producer Bekir Dolić shared his experiences acquired over ten years of work in this sector. Through the presentation, Dolić pointed out the challenges faced by producers, as well as in innovations that can improve the quality and quantity of yields.
Special emphasis was placed on the methods of disease prevention, pests control and optimization of fertilizer use in accordance with environmental standards.
– Everything I learned through working with producers and on our own plots, I presented in this education. We talked about the ways of increasing yields, environmental principles in production, reducing the use of pesticides and the importance of support from the development of this sector. Kornišon cucumber is strategically important for an agrarian of Una-Sana Canton and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and it is necessary to increase subsidies to enable further development of this production – Dolić pointed out.
Participants discussed the need to strengthen institutional support, including increasing cash incentives, which would enable production expansion and additional affirmation of agricultural pharmacies facing competition and import lobby challenges.
