Prime Minister Irfan Halilagić believes that the Budget is investment-oriented. There are a number of projects included in the Budget for the next year.
“There are 30 million marks for the health sector in the Tuzla Canton. There we will allocate money for institutions founded by the Tuzla Canton. Most of the money will go to UKC Tuzla and then to Gračanica General Hospital. The money will be used for the purchase of the necessary equipment, the reconstruction of operating theaters and much more. “This is a step towards improving the situation at UKC Tuzla,” Halilagić pointed out.
To support the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 5,600,000 KM is planned for the construction of the Police Administration building in Živinica. Also, for the Police Directorate, about 12 million KM is planned for the purchase of uniforms for police officers and other necessary equipment.
In the area of social protection, 74 million KM is planned, which is 2.2 million more than in 2024.
“It is about the Security Budget, which gives all of us a wind at our backs to work motivated when it comes to the realization of all planned programs,” added Halilagić.
The opposition was restrained when adopting the Budget, and they say that the Budget is a record and higher by 90 million KM compared to last year, and that increase is not seen in the distribution of money itself.
“We have a surplus in the Budget, and the Government reduces expenditures for the development of small and medium enterprises every year. Key institutions such as UKC Tuzla, the International Airport, remain at approximately the same funds as in the past years, we do not see any difference. “None of the fundamental problems in TK have been solved,” said Dževad Hadžič from SDP.
About 15 million KM is planned to support agriculture and rural development, which is at the level of the allocation from 2024. In the field of veterans’ protection, 24 million KM is planned, which is 1.3 million more than in 2024.
From the TK loan, which is an integral part of the Budget, the construction of the Lukavac Municipal Court building is planned, for which KM 4,797,000 is planned, while KM 23.2 million is planned for the continuation of the adaptation, reconstruction and construction of the Tuzla University Campus. In addition to the above, it should be noted that the Government also planned to increase the salaries of employees of budget beneficiaries by about 6%.
