During this week, a new humanitarian action was implemented to deliver aid in kind to various institutions that care for and provide support to socially vulnerable people.
For the needs of the public kitchen of the Home and Family Center in Zenica, 40 packages of dry sacrificial meat were delivered, while 37 pairs of sports shoes were also handed over to the users of the center.
In Travnik, support is directed towards two significant institutions, the Elča Ibrahim Pasha madrasa, where 65 pairs of sports shoes were donated for students with poorer financial status, and 37 pairs of sports shoes for beneficiaries to the “Sreća za sve” Association.
Humanitarian aid was also delivered to the Addiction Treatment Center in Suhodol, which received 70 packages of cured meat products.
“Our goal is to provide assistance to those struggling with various challenges. All these projects and humanitarian activities are part of the mission and constant efforts of Rijaset Islamic Community to provide support to vulnerable members of society. Humanitarian work is not only an act of mercy, but an obligation towards society and the community,” Ibrahim Malanović, head of the Office for Social Care of the Rijaset Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, told the MINA Agency.
Malanović emphasizes that the assistance of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina is concrete, adapted and based on the specific needs of the users.
“Humanity is not an abstract concept, but a helping hand at the right moment. We believe that together we can improve the quality of life of vulnerable groups. Our community is strong when it unites in charity, no one should be forgotten,” said Malanović.
The humanitarian activities of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina in recent days include the distribution of part of the zakat on agricultural products.
Thanks to the funds collected from zakat on agricultural products, aid was delivered to the addresses of over 40 institutions, associations and institutes operating in the field of social protection, education and health care.
Vehid Arnaut, head of the Rijaset Zakat Office of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, pointed out that these activities are the result of the organized work of the Islamic Community and the trust of believers who recognize the importance of joint action.
“Every humanitarian act and deed is a story about solidarity and human connection. We continue to contribute wherever we can, and a little help and action can have a big impact on someone’s life. Any kind of help is an opportunity to be closer to each other, closer to people. “Every member of society deserves a dignified life,” said Arnaut.
He announced that the Rijaset of the Islamic Community, through its offices and institutions, will continue to provide concrete support and assistance to institutions and individuals in the coming days.
