In the press release of the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism, it is stated that with this conclusion, the Environmental Protection Fund of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is responsible for providing intervention financial resources in the amount of 2,000,000 KM for the purpose of helping the implementation of urgent measures to rehabilitate the environment and communal infrastructure in the municipalities of Jablanica, Fojnica, Kreševo. and Kiseljak, and the cities of Konjic and Mostar, in such a way as to conclude separate contracts with individual municipalities and cities, according to the principle of municipal solidarity, and after consideration of individual requests and documentation for the purpose of implementing the activities in question, it was announced from the FBiH Government.
The Ministry reminds that last month the Federal Minister of Environment and Tourism, Nasiha Pozder, held a meeting with mayors and chiefs of endangered areas, so that everyone could respond to the most important and priority areas that require rehabilitation. The meeting was attended by Federal Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić, Deputy Prime Minister and Federal Minister of Finance Toni Kraljević, as well as Federal Minister of Displaced Persons and Refugees Nerin Dizdar and Director of the Environmental Protection Fund Slađan Bevanda. The adopted conclusion is a continuation of the initiative that Minister Pozder and the Director of Bevada initiated towards local communities.
– For the implementation of the support from the conclusion reached by the Government, it is important that Jablanica, Fojnica, Kreševo, Kiseljak, Konjic and Mostar ensure the implementation of the emergency measures in question, and submit the necessary documentation to the Fund, as well as regular reports on the implementation of the measures. We pointed out at the meeting that damage reports should be drawn up, most municipalities have already done so, and how this money could be directed where local communities recognize priorities. This conclusion refers to remediation in the environment, while remediation of damage to houses and social infrastructure is handled by other competent ministries and institutions. Earlier, we reacted with 200,000 KM that we transferred for the removal of floating waste, so our support for environmental rehabilitation will not be lacking and together with the Environmental Protection Fund and local communities we will support what is most needed – said Minister Pozder, the Federal Ministry announced environment and tourism.
