For this reason, he said, the Proposal of Decision on temporary financing of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the period January-March 2025 was withdrawn from the agenda of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament.
– We had many consultations with the Federal Ministry of Finance in the context of creating the budget for 2025. As for our ministry, we agreed on the proposal a long time ago if there are no additional requests – he said.
He claims that he is satisfied with the budget of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, and that they have many projects and programs that are being implemented for the first time and are awaiting the approval of the budget.
According to the increase in the minimum wage, Delic said that the compensation for parents and caregivers will also be increased.
– That’s not compensation, that’s their right. It has the character of a minimum wage and whenever the minimum wage increases, the minimum wage for parents and caregivers should also increase, of which we currently have a little over 1,500 – he pointed out.
Speaking about child allowance and all other legal regulations, Delic said that they do not have the same character.
– They are tied to the minimum wage. For example, we receive child benefit in a certain percentage of the minimum wage, as well as other benefits from the field of social protection, the veteran population and so on – he said.
He claims that they took the position that all these laws should be changed, given that a reform in the context of a set of fiscal laws will soon follow.
He emphasized that they intend to apply a different model of child allowance, and said that they commissioned a study of universal child allowance, which implies that every child at the level of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will eventually receive a certain amount of that allowance.
– According to the adopted decision, this year the child allowance will increase from the current 117 KM to 190 KM, which is a significant allocation in the budget of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina – he said.
In the budget for 2025, Delić emphasized, an additional 141 million KM have been set aside for people with disabilities.
