The Federal Minister of Labor and Social Policy Adnan Delic pointed out the importance of the introduction of a universal child allowance, emphasizing the need for the wider coverage of children to ensure better support for all families.
The director of the Sarajevo Muamer Halilbašić Economics Institute said that the Institute would, in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, and UNICEF, in the coming period will make a study that will offer several models of the universal child allowance.
This study will define the proposals of the criteria and model of the children’s addition that could include all children in the Federation of BiH.
The UNICEF representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina Irina Kulenović pointed out that the UNICEF supports the relevant ministry in establishing a universal child allowance, believing that this solution could significantly improve the position of children and families in the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy.
