Considering that tomorrow, 21.01.2025. the deadline of 60 days expires, by which the High Representative gave the obligation to the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina to initiate the procedure before the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the adoption of a law to resolve the legal and financial status of the NUBBiH, the employees are optimistically and impatiently awaiting the announcement of the OHR in the coming days, hoping sustainable solution for NUBBiH.
Support from the Federal Ministry of Education and Science
Minister Jasna Duraković today, together with her expert associates, visited the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Science (FMON). On that occasion, a meeting was held where the events of the past period were discussed and the next steps in the process of solving the legal and financial status of the Library were planned.
FMON, led by Minister Duraković, actively provides support to the National and University Library of BiH, especially in these challenging times for the institution. The last funds, paid during 2024, enabled the payment of arrears of salaries to employees, as well as the settlement of overhead costs and debts to suppliers. The Library team is extremely grateful for that.
The employees and management of the National and University Library of BiH believe that the adoption of laws at the state level will ensure long-term stability and enable this important institution to continue its unhindered work and contribution to the scientific and cultural community of BiH.
