This was announced by the mayor of Banja Luka, Draško Stanivuković, commenting on the arrest of the mayor of Bijeljina, Ljubiša Petrović.
– The entire system is in the service of revenge against political opponents. Billions of marks disappeared all these years, numerous companies were destroyed, while individual fortunes sprung up, numerous murders remained unsolved, but the biggest problem for our “institutions” is Ljubiša Petrović – says Stanivuković.
He also says that selective justice is worse than powerlessness, and as he says, the arrest of the mayor of Bijeljina, Petrović, is an obvious political persecution and an attempt to intimidate all those who oppose the current government.
– Support for friend Ljubiša, this is another proof that the system has been infected for a long time and only fundamental change can free us from the vicious circle. I am convinced that Ljubiša will prove his innocence in this process – said Stanivuković.
We will remind you that Petrović was ordered into 24-hour detention, and since yesterday morning, at 6:30 a.m., he has been under interrogation when the police raided the city administration.
During the day he was taken to the police station, and in the afternoon he was told that he would remain in custody for the next 24 hours.
As BN reported yesterday, investigative authorities are charging Petrović with paying scholarships to students from Semberija and for some other items from the budget that were not approved by the parliamentary majority led by SNSD in the previous period.
