Strong wind further worsens the situation by creating snow drifts in the areas of Livno, Tomislavgrad, Glamoč and Bosanski Grahov.
Due to low temperatures, ice is an additional danger, especially on bridges, viaducts and tunnel approaches.
Drivers are advised to be careful and use winter equipment.
Prohibitions and recommendations for drivers
Truck traffic is prohibited on the following roads:
Bosanski Petrovac – Drvar – Bosansko Grahovo
Glamoč – Mlinište
Drvar – Glamoč
The regional road Karanovac – Kneževo is passable up to Vidovo Vrel, but driving further towards Kneževo is not recommended, as is the section Kneževo – Ugar.
For drivers traveling to the ski center Babanovac, BIHAMK advises using the direction Banja Luka – Jajce – Donji Vakuf – Turbe – Babanovac.
Border crossings and road works
On the way out of the country, long lines of vehicles were recorded at the Izačić, Hadžin Potok, Velika Kladuša, Gradina, Gradiška and Orašje crossings. At other crossings, waiting times are shorter than 30 minutes.
Traffic on the Jablanica – Blidinje road is still suspended due to roadway damage. Works are current on several sections, including:
M-17 in Donja Jablanica (slower traffic due to occasional suspensions)
Pelagićevo – Srebrenik
Husino – Lover
Čitluk – Ljubuški
On the main road Rogatica – Ustiprača, vehicles up to 30 tons travel in one lane due to damage to the bridge, while vehicles over 30 tons cannot use this section.
Prohibitions also apply to vehicles over 5 tons at the Karakaj border crossing, while freight vehicles are diverted to the Bratunac or Rača crossings. Freight vehicles can only drive on the Šepak highway during certain times.
All drivers are urged to obey traffic rules and adjust their speed to road conditions.
