Acting director of NP “Una” Alen Zulić informed the minister about the activities carried out in the past six months, among other things, about the achieved results, as well as the number of visits to this only national park in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
There was also talk about the current projects implemented by this public company, and about plans for 2025. A short report on the implementation of the road construction project Čelije – Štrbački buk was also given.
Minister Pozder expressed satisfaction that 168,000 visits to the National Park “Una” were registered this year, which is a 15 percent increase compared to 2023, when around 146,000 visits were registered.
She added that she was also very happy with the news that today the submission of the nomination file for the entry of the Martinbrod Waterfalls into the UNESCO list was made.
– Those waterfalls are on the Tentative List, and now the documentation has been supplemented in order for this natural asset to be entered on the most important list of world heritage. I expect that soon the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will confirm the amendments to the Law on Nature Protection, by which we have defined the new concept of ‘tufa’, as well as its protection, which is recognized as a unique value precisely at the Martinbrod Falls. The inscription of the waterfalls on Una on the UNESCO World Heritage List will be of exceptional importance not only for the National Park ‘Una’ and for the area of this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but for our entire country – said Pozder.
Zulić said that the record number of realized activities resulted in greater interest of visitors in the National Park.
– We are honored to have a reception with Minister Pozder, which is only one of many in just a few months, which confirms her and the ministry’s interest in all issues, with an emphasis on those that are important for the further development of the Park. Precisely on the basis of familiarizing the relevant ministry with the results achieved in the past six months, we received strong support for the continuation of the successful business trend, which is confirmed by a record number of visits, but also a record number of realized activities, which of course contributed to the greater interest of visitors – said Zulić.
After the meeting, Minister Pozder and the representatives of the National Park “Una” visited the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Property Legal Affairs, where they talked about spatial planning documentation and the Regulatory Plan, as well as solving problems with parking, road users, and their future position within the Park. , and many other issues, discussed with the Federal Minister of Spatial Planning Željko Nedić and the Director of the Federal Administration Željko Obradović, it was announced from the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism.
