They say that the government would thereby fulfill the previously announced reforms on the relief of the cost of labor and business in the FBiH.

On the other hand, a written proposal of 20 representatives, required for the initiative to hold a session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament on fiscal reform, was secured. The goal of this initiative is to review through parliamentary dialogue the Regulation on increasing the minimum wage adopted by the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and achieve a balance between improving the rights of workers, relieving the burden on businessmen and preserving the stability of public finances.
In everything, it is necessary to keep in mind that the Decree from 2021 prescribes that the lowest salary be adjusted no later than December 31 of the current year, which means that the Government could only make a new decision for the next year? Also, in the Regulation from 2021, in Article 6 paragraph 3, it is specified that the amount of the lowest salary can be determined in a higher amount than the amount of the adjusted salary according to the formula – the amount of the sum of 50% of the increase in consumer prices and 50% of the increase in GDP in FBIH in the current year.
In view of the above, there is every chance that the only option is to insist that the Government of the FBIH in a short and clearly defined period and by urgent procedure pass a set of fiscal laws and reduce the burden on the payment of contributions.
