The focus of this meeting was on the implementation of the necessary emergency measures to prevent the spread of landslides, which are related to the cleaning of three springs that have been buried and the construction of a water drainage system.
Given that the landslide is located on the territory of Republika Srpska, and that the population in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is at risk, the most effective way was proposed at the meeting to start the execution of these works as soon as possible, in accordance with legal regulations and competences.
The meeting also discussed current activities and measures that need to be taken for the further rehabilitation of this landslide.
In addition to representatives of the BiH Ministry of Security, the meeting was attended by representatives of the municipalities of Stari Grad and East Stari Grad, the Government of Sarajevo Canton, the Cantonal Civil Protection Administration of Sarajevo Canton, the Federal Civil Protection Administration of the FBiH and the Republican Civil Protection Administration of Republika Srpska.
