After the joint meeting, Bulčević reminded at the press conference that earlier this cooperation with concrete projects was more intense and concrete, but that both sides expressed the desire to expand and improve it.
– In Srebrenica, there is now a young new team that wants to develop that city and wants to make it a better quality environment for life, while our local community wants to achieve cooperation in all fields, and through future projects we will come to the point of signing an agreement on joint cooperation. two cities – emphasized Bulčević, adding that there was no talk of concrete projects at today’s meeting.
The mayor of Srebrenica, Miloš Vučić, expressed satisfaction with the continuation of cooperation with the District, saying that their local community, after the rapid formation of the local government, is working on preliminary projects that will be proposed to the Brčko District and will concern the exchange of experiences and projects among young people.
He added that Sarajevo and Tuzla have so far helped this municipality much more than other municipalities and welcomed the effort and decision of the Government of Republika Srpska to include the municipality of Srebrenica in the program of assistance to underdeveloped communities.
– Brčko District helped in the construction of road infrastructure for the returnee population in some parts of the municipality of Srebrenica, which was a burning problem at that time. We don’t want our priority to be help, but we want cooperation to be mutually satisfactory – says Vučić.
The President of the Srebrenica Municipal Assembly, Almir Dudić, thanked the Brčko District for the help and cooperation so far, stressing that their goal is to renew cooperation with the District.
