This practically means that those who have possible complaints about the inspector’s work, have no one to report the problem to.

That and the fact that inspectors are not adequately paid for the work they perform, unfortunately opens up space for corrupt practices. Of course, this is not an excuse, but it is a fact that was recently confirmed before the Municipal Court in Sarajevo.
Namely, at the end of last year, the Municipal Court handed down a first-instance verdict and sentenced Ajla Čeljo, labor inspector of the Cantonal Administration for Inspection Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, to two years in prison for the criminal offense of receiving a gift and other forms of benefit.
