Very good and stable political relations and bilateral cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Turkey are welcomed at the meeting. It was pointed out that Bosnia and Herzegovina and Turkey are interested in the continued development of versatile bilateral relations and cooperation and the importance of maintaining regular political contacts at all levels.
Minister Konakovic expressed his gratitude to Turkey to support sovereignty, territorial integrity and multiethnicity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as European and Euro-Atlantic integration of our country. The interlocutor reported about the current political situation in our country, as well as European path and reform processes. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the intergovernmental conference, which BiH would begin negotiations and enter the new phase of integration according to full membership. When it comes to regional relations, the Minister assessed that regional economic integration, to which the countries of the Western Balkans were obliged, key to the transformation of the Western Balkans and its approximation of the EU.
Minister Fidan looked back during the meeting on Turkish and BiH relations, emphasizing how both countries agree that there is a space for strengthening relations and cooperation. He emphasized the importance of peace and stability both in BiH and in the region. In the context of regional cooperation, the Turkey will soon initiate meeting meetings with all Western Balkan countries to discuss better economic cooperation and stability in the region.
The interlocutors exchanged the opinions on strengthening economic cooperation and trade, investment projects and the contractual relations of BiH and the Republic of Turkey.
