The special focus is placed on the modernization of utilities, construction of the sports hall, improving the tourist offer and creating conditions for new jobs.
One of the burning problems are the prices of utilities, which are still social, not economic. This system reduces the revenues of public enterprises and directly affects the amount of employee’s income, especially in the utility sector.
– It will be a serious problem with which we deal with and look for ways to overcome it. We will try to single out the subsidy for the utility company ‘work’ which is in the key more than active, relevant and reference, from the municipal budget. It has quality results and works well your business, and pays to invest in it. – says Municipal Chief Jasmin Music.
Although it would be easier to direct funds to other projects, without quality communal infrastructure, it is not possible to talk about further development.
– It must be a priority to me or not – he points out Music.
He adds, that in addition to communal infrastructure, the new municipal leadership planned and the construction of the sports hall, for which the land is already provided, and support with higher levels of government is also expected. Canton has already secured one part of the placement for land preparation, and from the municipality, they believe that through further support will be able to eliminate all obstacles to the implementation of this project.
– We are a municipality in the canton that does not have a sports hall. This project would not only improve the sports conditions for citizens, but the key would make the place of maintaining various events of sports, cultural and other character – the Music points out.
Tourism is still, as it adds, one of the key areas of development. Works are underway on the paves of the beach “Alina Luka”, while the arrangement of the parking and trail will begin soon according to the source of the Sanica. The spring follows the reconstruction of the Old Town, which includes the illumination and preparation for various cultural and educational events.
In parallel with these projects, the municipality of the key invests in economic development and job creation.
It is planned to build a new industrial zone, for which the location is already determined and the purchase of land.
– During this year we should have 14 dunums fenced with all the connections ready for investments, they say from the municipality, noting that such projects are key to the economic growth and retention of the population.
All these plans are focused on creating better conditions for the living and work of citizens, with the strengthening of the economic, tourist and infrastructure potential of the municipality, concludes Music.
