“As the mayor, I had the honor of joining the hardworking team of workers of KJKP ‘RAD’, ‘PARK’, JP ‘ONSA’, Civil Protection, VD ‘Novo Sarajevo’ and employees of the Municipality. I am especially glad that our fellow citizens – from those who cleaned together with us, to those who treated the hardworking team with coffee, chocolates and a smile,” said Karić.
She also thanked the Sarajevo Red Cross and the Klas company for providing the participants with hot tea and delicious sandwiches during the break.
“Nevertheless, today we came across huge amounts of garbage under the windows of residential buildings. It reminds us how important it is that we all build awareness of cleanliness and responsibility towards the space we live in. Let’s not forget – every piece of paper and every bag less on the streets makes our municipality more beautiful and healthier for all of us,” added Karić.
The action continues on Friday and Saturday, and the following week.
Tomorrow, he adds, they are cleaning Čengić Villa and Malta, and on Saturday they are at Wilson’s promenade. The gathering on Saturday is at 11:00 a.m. at the building of Elektroprivreda BiH.
