Taking into account the average values of PM10 particles in the past 24 hours for all measuring locations, the current growth trend of these pollutants, as well as the unfavorable synoptic forecast, the Expert Body made a proposal to the Ministry to declare a Warning.
As stated, the average daily values of PM10 for Ilijaš, Vogošća, Bjelave and Otoka were over 90 micrograms per cubic meter, while in Hadžići and Ilidža they were very close to that limit. Given that the current synoptic situation indicates stable weather, weak wind, from the north, northwest direction, with a temperature inversion in the morning and evening hours, the trend of increasing polluting particles could continue, explained the proposal of the Expert Body for the declaration of the Warning. It was also stated that since yesterday there has been a decrease in the average values of sulfur dioxide in the air.
Citizens are recommended to follow the health instructions of the Institute of Public Health KS. Chronic patients and sensitive population groups should avoid being outdoors during this period.
