Tourists spent 248,221 overnight stays in November, which is 29.7 percent less compared to October 2024 and 18.7 percent more than November 2023. In the total number of overnight stays, the participation of domestic tourists was 35.6 percent, while the participation of foreign tourists was 64.4 percent, the BiH Statistics Agency announced today.
The number of overnight stays by domestic tourists in November was lower by 11.9 percent compared to October 2024 and higher by 12.9 percent compared to November 2023. The number of overnight stays by foreign tourists was lower by 36.8 percent compared to October 2024 and higher by 22.1 percent compared to November 2023.
In November 2024, in the structure of overnight stays by foreign tourists, the most overnight stays were achieved by tourists from: Croatia with 23.9 percent, Serbia with 11.8 percent, Turkey with 10.7 percent, Slovenia with 7.6 percent, China with 4 .4 percent, Montenegro with 4.0 percent, Italy and Germany with 3.2 percent each, which represents 68.8 percent of the total number of overnight stays. Tourists from other countries accounted for 31.2 percent of overnight stays.
The net utilization rate of rooms in November 2024 was 26.8 percent, and of permanent beds 20.2 percent, while in November 2023, the utilization rate of rooms was 25.6 percent, and of permanent beds 18.2 percent.
According to the type of accommodation facility, the largest number of overnight stays was achieved within the Hotels and similar accommodation sector with a share of 95 percent.
