“For now, we do not have any information about the intentions to transfer the sanctions to the RS, and I do not expect any major problems in the coming period, although I do not rule out the possibility that something like that could happen. “I see that the NIS representatives also have an alternative as to how they will operate in the coming period, but of course that will largely depend on the political negotiations that will follow,” said Đokić.
We would like to remind you that the entire oil industry of the RS, i.e. the refineries in Brod and Modriča and the chain of gas stations “Nestro Petrol” is in Russian ownership. They also own the oil company Optima Group.
Regarding the sanctions against NIS and the supply of our market with oil derivatives, Đokić says that fuel is procured from several sources, not only through NIS, and that he does not expect any disruptions.
“Our pumps are supplied from various companies involved in the processing or trade of oil derivatives and it will remain so in the future. And at the time when our Oil Refinery in Bordo was active, numerous pumps were bought on the market and from other suppliers, so there is no need for any instabilities. Probably those who deal with traffic thought earlier and prepared in time. After all, we have so many gas stations that it is impossible to question the supply,” said Đokić.
