During the meeting, they discussed the improvement of infrastructure projects in places of return, as well as the implementation of social housing programs for socially sensitive categories of the population. Special attention was paid to the implementation of the CEB 2 project “Closing collective and alternative accommodation through public housing solutions”. The completion of two multi-apartment buildings with a total of 30 apartments will ensure permanent and dignified solutions for families still living in inadequate conditions.
Minister Nerin Dizdar emphasized the importance of continuous support for returnee communities.
– Sustainable return and development of returnee settlements are key to strengthening stability and economic progress. The Federal Ministry remains committed to providing assistance in solving infrastructural challenges, because only with safe and dignified living conditions can we ensure the sustainability of returns and the development of local communities. We are announcing that the users will soon move into the newly constructed buildings that we are building together – said Minister Dizdar.
Chief Mehmed Hasanović thanked the minister for the visit and emphasized the importance of good cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Displaced Persons and Refugees.
– Supporting socially disadvantaged families and building infrastructure in returnee communities are key for our community. Through projects like CEB 2, we create the foundations for a better life for all citizens, especially those who need help the most. Working together and understanding all levels of government is the way to create lasting and positive changes. We have also agreed on the implementation of new infrastructure projects in the coming period – said Mayor Hasanović.
Minister Dizdar’s visit is the result of continuous work on strengthening inter-institutional cooperation, with the aim of providing better living conditions for returnees and socially sensitive families in Banovići and beyond, announced the Federal Ministry of Displaced Persons and Refugees.
